A Novel of Vikings in
Scotland.
In the latter half of the ninth century A.D., a young Norse warrior
is about to accompany his people on his first raid to Britain
(Dumbarton Rock in the Kingdom of Alt Clut).
He dreams of glory in battle and returning with tribute from
the defeated Britons.
But when his longship is burned and he finds himself trapped in an
unfriendly land, his dreams of glory give way to a fight for
survival. When a Norse
invasion fleet lands on the shores of his new home, his loyalty to
those who spared his life is tested.
Will he remain loyal to his Scottish saviors, or will he side
with the invaders he used to call family?
